Sariphi CLI
Installation, access, and personal dashboard notifications for people and agents using Sariphi.
Install the full CLI
The full CLI installer is hosted at cli.sariphi.ai/install.sh. On macOS or Linux (x64 or ARM64), download it, review it, then run it:
curl -fsSL https://cli.sariphi.ai/install.sh -o sariphi-install.sh
less sariphi-install.sh
sh sariphi-install.sh --no-ai
sariphi --help
The installer writes the executable to /usr/local/bin and may ask for sudo. --no-ai skips the companion AI usage dashboard and its shell commands. Without that flag the installer also installs those companions and updates shell configuration. The optional --skills flag installs agent skills.
Installing a binary does not grant account access. If the command is missing or reports an unexpected edition, check command -v sariphi and sariphi --help for a different executable earlier on PATH.
Register a node
A node asks for access; an administrator approves it in the dashboard. No token is needed.
sariphi node register --purpose "why this node is needed"
sariphi node registration-status
sariphi node activate
The node is named after the machine's hostname unless you pass --name. node activate works only after an administrator approves the request with an owner, scopes and an end date. Node approval does not sign in a user; the dashboard requires sign-in.
An administrator can also invite you. Open the invite link and run sariphi node join <link> (CLI 0.4.19 or later): it registers and activates in one step. The link works once, within 24 hours.
Personal dashboard notifications
Notifications appear in the signed-in profile’s dashboard inbox. They are in-app notifications, not browser push, email, or messages to workspace members. Workspace sharing does not grant access to another profile’s inbox.
A CLI build containing notify and the matching deployed service are required. If sariphi notify --help reports an unknown command, your installed release does not contain this feature; installing the startup-idea edition will not add it. An authorized operator with a source checkout can use bun run packages/sariphi/bin/sariphi.ts in place of sariphi until a compatible binary is released.
First verify the personal destination, then validate your reminder without sending it:
sariphi notify --help
sariphi --json notify destination
sariphi --json notify send --recipient PROFILE_ID --file reminder.json --dry-run
Check the destination’s returned identity before using its profile ID. Missing or ambiguous account links must be resolved by an authorized operator; notification commands do not create profiles or change access.
Create reminder.json with your own non-sensitive content:
{
"externalId": "example-follow-up-001",
"title": "Review the follow-up",
"body": "Review the linked evidence.",
"priority": "normal",
"sourceUrls": ["https://example.com/evidence"]
}
After checking the dry run, send and manage the reminder:
sariphi --json notify send --recipient PROFILE_ID --file reminder.json
sariphi --json notify list
sariphi --json notify read NOTIFICATION_ID
sariphi --json notify list --history
sariphi --json notify dismiss NOTIFICATION_ID
Reusing an externalId updates the same reminder and preserves its read or dismissed state. Use a new ID for a new reminder. An optional ISO dueAt timestamp with a timezone schedules delivery; omit it for immediate delivery. Dismissing a future reminder cancels its appearance. Changing the schedule of an existing ID is rejected. --dry-run validates without saving.
Two installers, different capabilities
Full Sariphi CLI installer: the full CLI, including personal notifications when supported by the installed build and service.
Startup-idea edition installer: a limited public edition for sariphi startup-idea evaluate. It uses Bun and installs a wrapper under ~/.local/bin by default. It does not include notification commands or private account access. Both editions use the command name sariphi; check PATH when switching editions.
